The paper aims to carry out a theoretical reflection on neoliberalism as a regime of governmentality based on a logic of constituting hegemony. We contribute to an approximation between Michael Foucault and Antonio Gramsci to think about the relationship between governmentality and hegemony. It stands out from the reflection that neoliberal hegemony implies the establishment of a consensus intermediated by self-entrepreneurship through the contribution of managerialism as a form of organization of social life, establishing the idea of competitiveness among atomized individuals as common sense.
