Brasil, hybrid neoliberalism
Abstract
This article offers an analytical perspective to think about Brazilian neoliberalism through the Foucauldian conception of hybrid governmentalities. Neoliberalism is characterized by the political construction of society according to the market model. Neoliberal techniques have been adopted selectively in different contexts, compounding with and reorganizing existing political and social constellations. The recognition of the heterogeneity of political rationalities that are composed in a dynamic and variegated way in the construction of the state and institutions or in the forms of government constituted "from the bottom up" by the governed allows us to explain the variations of the forms of existence around the neoliberal norm of life.
