The news of the pandemic. An audiences study
Abstract
In this article, we propose to analyze the information practices of the resi- dents of the Argentine metropolitan area during the first months of the pandemic. To this end, we worked with a set of autoethnographic diaries, a self-administered survey, and a series of interviews with media editors. The work shows the different modes of reception during confinement, as well as the subjective effects of this con- sumption. The phenomenon of saturation, mistrust and polarization of audiences is also discussed in dialogue with media editors.
