In recent decades, under the Co-production of Security approach, communities have been called upon to participate in crime prevention in their territories. In Latin America, governments have implemented various strategies, but comparative studies analysing community practices in different neighbourhoods are still scarce. In this paper we address the Chilean (Santiago) and Argentinean (Buenos Aires) experience using qualitative and ethnographic data.
