Abstract

In this text, written in the form of a narrative and analytical statement, the author seeks to highlight striking aspects of the life and work of sociologist Maria Aparecida de Moraes Silva. To achieve this aim, he is inspired by the carpentry of the text Valley’s lessons: narrative of a researcher, written by the sociologist. The structure of the article is divided into sections that highlight the author’s teachings – considered one of the great masters of Brazilian Sociology.
