This article examines obstetric violence in Brazil, understood as a mechanism historically shaped by structural racism, sexism, classism, and ableism. It explores the intersectional dimensions of obstetric violence, focusing on power relations linked primarily to the following categories of privilege/oppression: gender, ethno-racial identity, class, generation, education, and disability. These social markers impose cultural prescriptions and restrictions on the autonomy of the gestating body, subjecting it to vulnerabilities and neglect.
