Resumen

Based on an overview of the different lynching acts in Cochabamba (Bolivia), the article analyzes the relationship existing between these forms of collective punitive actions with three specific dynamics: territorial, economic and sociopolitical. It seeks to show how the configuration of an increasingly fragmented society –in socioeconomic and political terms- is supported by violent citizen interrelations, in which lynching acts are constant. This makes difficult to develop an integrated public management, delaying the possibility of a harmonious citizen’s coexistence.
