Abstract

In this paper uberization is understood as a new form of labor control, management and organization. Its main elements refer to the consolidation of workers as just in time workers along with processes of informalization – meaning the loss of stable, recognizable forms of the means of labor control and exploitation. The discussion is also based on life trajectories study of Brazilian workers. It is proposed a shift from entrepreneurship to “subordinated self-management” in order to analyze typically peripheral elements that are subsumed in new ways and also seem to become generalized among relations of work.
