Abstract

Our proposal in this article is to understand how Profa. Maria Aparecida Moraes Silva, in her theoretical-methodological reflections and research, analyzes the social experience of peasants, who are also wage workers, in territories far from their places of origin. We will examine two aspects. First, how peasant-migrants, whose lives are marked by processes of expropriation, uprooting and exploitation, narrate about their work and life experiences in the different spaces in which they circulate, considering both material and symbolic aspects. Second, how the intersections of work, gender, race and class constitute central axes in the analysis of peasant-migrants.
